Shaggy looks up to see the rope attached to the ghost bomber itself. “Zoinks! It’s the ghost plane!”

Press here.

Fred and Daphne hop down from the wing tip. There are no other old planes in sight, but they keep running. In the moonlight, they see that they are in a large open field.

“Where are we?” asks Daphne.

“I think we’re on the other side of the airplane graveyard,” replies Fred.

“You mean we have to go back through the graveyard to find the others?” asks Daphne.

“Or walk all the way around,” says Fred. “At least we lost those ghosts. They’ll never be able to spot us out here in the dark.”

Suddenly lights switch on all around them. They can see each other clearly, as if it were daytime. The bright lights form two rows, stretching across the open field.

“What’s with the lights?” Daphne asks.

“They look like runway lights,” Fred says.

Daphne shakes her head. “But the airfield is on the other side of the airplane graveyard.”

“Look out!” Fred shouts.

He grabs Daphne’s hand and dives to the side. They fly over the row of lights and tumble to the ground. They narrowly miss being squashed by a landing plane, a very large and quiet plane.

Daphne points at the plane. “Look familiar?”

As the plane pulls to a stop, the lights shine on the plane’s body. A large silver hawk emblem is painted on the plane’s nose.

Fred gasps. “It’s the ghost plane!”

Daphne gulps. “Up close and personal.”

“Too close.” Fred looks around. “You think we should hide somewhere?”

“I don’t know.” Daphne raises an eyebrow. “Maybe we should take a closer look.”
